This project was in collaboration with designers Michael Ryan Wood, Abdul Qadir, and Amy Silverman-Miller.
In 2019, I was selected to participate on a team of designers in Make a Mark NYC. Make a Mark a 12-hour design marathon where volunteer creatives are partnered with local nonprofit organizations who are in need help with their marketing or branding. Due to a lack of funds, resources, nonprofit organizations may not be able to afford these types of projects. Recognizing that most of these types of projects can be completed in only a day, Make a Mark helps to fill that gap.
My team worked with Healthy Kids First, a nonprofit based in NYC founded by chef Ayesha Gordon and dedicated to educating children and families in economically-challenged areas on healthier approaches to food. Collaboratively, we refreshed the logo, created a color palette, selected primary and secondary fonts, developed illustrations, defined a photography style, designed social media posts, business cards, t-shirts, stickers and most importantly, designed a pitch presentation that Ayesha could use to look her best when presenting her cause to grantors.
